Volunteers

Volunteers are a VERY important part of our ministry at Aldersgate. Last year, over 100 people gave of their time to spread God's love at Aldersgate.

Buildings & Grounds

We welcome individuals & groups that want to help keep God's creation beautiful. This year, our projects are smaller: clearing trails, light painting, cleaning before and after campers, picking-up trash, and mulching. We hope to complete Wesley Lodge renovations in 2008.

Year-Around Volunteer Opportunities

  • Mulching tree climbing area with wood chips

  • Setting railroad ties & telephone poles for parking lots & program area borders

  • Picking-up trash from our section of adopt-a-highway

  • Picking-up trash on campsite

  • Maintaining trails by reducing & preventing erosion

  • Maintaining trails by trimming, removing debris, & mowing

  • Scrubbing & sanding to de-graffiti areas

  • Repairing window screens

  • Mulching flower beds with pine needles

  • Weeding flower beds (spring & summer)

  • Trimming back flowers (fall)

  • Painting interior & exterior facilities

  • Clearing trees & branches - with & without chainsaw

  • Filling wood shed with fire wood - with & without chainsaws & splitters

  • Cleaning inside & outside - general & special

Summer Program Volunteers

Youth 16 & older, as well as adults, are invited to volunteer for our program. To be eligible, you must be 16 by the time you volunteer, and you must be 5 years older than the campers you work with that week.

Do you have a great camp idea? Think about being a volunteer event leader! This is a way for adults to take special leadership with campers. You don't have to know it all! Our staff will work with you to provide the safest and most fun Christian camp experience! Contact Angela to discuss your ideas and get on the schedule!
