Aldersgate - Your experience awaits.

Camp Staff Commentary

2006 Summer Program Staff

From Courtney - This is my first summer working here, and I've loved every minute of it. I enjoy watching the kids try new things as I try new things, too. I am overcoming challenges and learnignabout God right along with the kids. Watching the smiles on campers' faces is one of the best experiences. I have seen God in a variety of ways and hope that will continue.

From Amanda - So far the summer has been great! I've been with a lot of hard working people that are fun to be around. I'm looking forward to the rest of the summer and what it will bring, and continue to teach the campers with the love of God. I know that they will teach me a lot of things, too.

From Bobby - So far, the summer has been a very awesome learning experince for me. I've had two camps so far, Swiss Family Robinson and Stargazers; five boys between the two camps. Both groups had the chance to learn things they had never been exposed to before. Seeing the look in their eyes when they learned something new is an experience I'll never forget, and hope to see again and again this summer.

From Estee - This summer has been awesome. I have done things I never dreamed I'd do: like climb a tree or canoe swamp. It's been an aweseome experience, and I can't believe I didn't become a camp counselor a long time ago.

From Drew - The summer is going well. For only being here for this short amount of time, I have learned a lot about myself and everyone else. It has been great sgetting to know the staff as well as meeting parents and campers. The kids have been so much fun , and I am looking forward to it getting even better as the summer progresses. Along with camp, I have enjoyed learning more about God and am anxious to continue to seek more about him throughout my stay at camp.

We are just over halfway through our first full week of campers. So far, Experts 1, Swiss Family Robinson, Hook 'n Lure, Fish with Me, and Color Me Crafty have experienced God in new and different ways.

Our summer staff are enjoying the opportunity to work with campers and each other. There are a total of almost 30 people on staff this summer.

I went watersliding with campers yesterday, worked on the tree house this week, and generally had the opportunity to enjoy your children during swimming, fishing, games, and meals.
